Apertures
In the context of X-rays, apertures are holes which allow light to pass through while efficiently blocking stray light in the form of diffracted or scattered light. High blocking power is achieved via tall gold heights. The precise shape of the apertures (square, round, star-shaped, slitted…) is crucial to their optimal performance.
